Skunkworks ... a place where problems are resolved and projects developed by a relatively small and loosely structured group of people primarily for the sake of radical innovation and the sheer enjoyment of analysis and experimentation …
Confused about a finicky transmitter setting … or a receiver that won’t listen … or servo’s that don’t respond … or maybe the repair of damaged plane too daunting to contemplate? “Nothing is so badly broken that there isn’t a solution out there somewhere…” Join us at the Skunkworks and share your concerns with a peer-group who can provide some timely advice if warranted, or offer that willing hand if needed, or just be a place to discuss planes and R/C issues with similarly minded fly-guys. Sometimes we build … sometimes we mend … and sometimes we just talk. We now meet every Thursday evening at about 1900 hours in Heinz FISCHER’s garage – off the alley behind 1212 – 24th Ave in Coaldale. Many R/C aircraft – both new and re-furbished - have spent time ‘in the works’, and the occasional bent ego or floundering self-confidence has found solace here. Bring along your parts and pieces. We go to about 2200 hours, Everyone is welcome!
N.B. Activities resumed as at November 16, 2023.
